Happiness comes in waves, don't miss the boat!

I woke up one morning standing in my closet among the clutter and thought to myself I am literally surrounded by hundreds of things yet I have nothing to wear. Pants were no longer fitting, I could see my lovely wrinkles & cellulite in the closet mirror and I asked myself who is this middle aged lady staring back at me?
I felt almost like I went to bed a girl in her 20’s, having no cares, eating what I wanted not thinking about the future except for perhaps which bar I would get a cocktail after work ,to a middle aged woman who suddenly found herself being called ma’am. When did I become a ma’am? Did i look that old, was it official I would be part of the old lady club?
It was at that point I thought to myself no way this girl is gonna be looked at as an old lady! I started pulling out all my stuff in my closet and created three piles:
1. Keep
2. Donate
3. Sell Sell Sell (this was my lightbulb moment)
I have always been a planner & would organize each Spring but typically I would just throw out or Donate my items. Not this time I thought I want to get some dough for my things I found this amazing site Poshmark and I opened up my closet to sell items I no longer felt I needed or more importantly felt good in.
Think of poshmark as an online thrift store, you can find amazing deals, you get to help others by selling your things so they can feel good about what they are wearing and you get a few bucks to help yourself.
I started to sell some of my items and purchase some new ones. I have always loved Jcrew but could not always afford or justify the expensive purchase. Poshmark would allow me to start wearing some fun new clothes without the big expense. I suddenly began to feel purpose in my life again, by reorganizing my closet I felt like I am not the old lady who stays stagiant and feels like its too late for change. No this is a new chapter for me, I can do anything I set my mind to!
The red sweater is Jcrew and I purchased on Poshmark for $10! Perfect condition so cute. I just drycleaned and it looks brand new. I also bought the brown clogs i am wearing, those are uggs for $20!
