1. SHOP YOUR HOME
Can I confess a little secret? I am a holiday decor shopaholic! Every year I pick a different theme and decorate my home. Last year I went with the farmhouse blue instead of just traditional green & red. I always pull out items from previous holidays to see what I can use this year but perhaps with a new twist.
I used the farmhouse truck blue pillow as my inspiration. Its practical to get some items you know will still be in style to avoid breaking the bank. These cream pillows & cotton Christmas trees from Laurel Grove will be in winter style forever.
2. SHOP SMALL
There are so many great online shops now to get some of your holiday goodies. I am a big believer in supporting small shops.
Rae Dunn fan? Danielle from the Farmhouse Vinyl Company has you covered in all things Rae Dunn inspired. She is so talented & creative I just love all her holiday goodies. Be sure and use code Christmas10 to get 10 percent off any purchases.
These Rae Dunn inspired ornaments are so cute! These make great gifts. My problem is I end up getting one for a gift & somehow I end up with one for myself. Is this really a problem?
Want to add a little Cottage farmhouse decor to your house? Check out Jennifer from GraceLeigh Custom Decor . I love how you can custom order your signs so you can get exactly what you want. It amazes me how talented people are. I am good at putting items in my shopping cart is that a talent?
3. SHOP LOCAL
How cute are these mini trees? Laurel Grove is a local store near me in Massachusetts but they have an amazing selection online for all your holiday decorating needs. I love decorating the little trees all over my house the sizes are perfect to put in every nook & cranny of your home.
4. SHOP BIG
I got this flocked Christmas tree last year from Walmart. I was super surprised when I went into the store how many great trees they had to pick from. It easily folded up in the box it came in and I will be pulling it out this holiday season as well. Of course my Rae Dunn buddies are hanging out. The Rae Dunn Wish & Believe mugs are great for any seasonal decor.
These Rae Dunn Goodies were picked up at my local HomeGoods & Tjmaxx I like to get mugs that will never go out of style. I mean Coffee & Cream will always be on my favorites list. The little birdies are from Target. I get a new one every year with a different outfit. How many do I really need you ask? According to my husband that would be a big NO MORE! Men have no clue, sorry if I stopped shopping it would be like a fish that is out of water.
5. SHOP THRIFTY
I love going to local thrift stores like Savers. This place is great to pick up some inexpensive items you can use to decorate your home or perhaps even decorate your gifts with that you can pick up for little money.
There you have it 5 ways to get your holiday shop on. What are you waiting for? Get out there and holiday shop until you literally drop!
